Q: Where is the Congress Gala Dinner?

A: The Congress Gala Dinner will be held at the historic Windsor Station located at 1100 Avenue des Canadiens-de-Montréal. Windsor Station is a former railway station in Montreal, Canada, formerly serving as the city's Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) station. It also served as the headquarters of CPR from 1889 to 1996.

Q: How do I get to the Congress Gala Dinner?

A. There will be buses departing the Palais des Congrès starting at 6:45pm

Public transport options:

·         Metro: STM Orange Line - Bonaventure Station (2-minute walk to the Windsor Station)

·         Bus 747: Stop - René Levesque / Peel

·         Bus 107: Stop - Bonaventure Station (Peel / De la Gauchtière)

Q: What time is the Congress Gala Dinner and what time does it finish?

The Congress Gala Dinner will take place from 7 to 10pm

Q: What is the price of the ticket? What is included?

A: Registrants can buy tickets for $29 USD. Any additional tickets bought for accompanying persons are $115 USD. Tickets for Children under 12 are $41 USD. Included in the price is dinner, entertainment and one free drink.

Q: Are the Congress Gala Dinner tickets refundable?

A. Our Registration Cancellation policy applies to the Congress Gala Dinner: as of September 8, 2016 cancellations will not be refunded.

Q: What are the food options at the Congress Gala Dinner?

We will offer a large choice of international food stations featuring Asian, Greek, Italian, American and Montreal’s smoked meat (including vegetarian options).


Q: Does this conference count towards CME Credits?

A: Yes. This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hematology and Nutrition (NASPGAN) and the World Congress of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hematology and Nutrition (WCPGHAN). NASPGHAN is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

NASPGHAN designates this live activity for a maximum of 33.75 (8.25 for the Post Graduate Course and 25.5 for the Annual Meeting) AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Q: How do we get CME Credits?

A: CME instructions will be provided to attendees at the conference. Attendees will need to go online to complete an evaluation in order to receive their CME certificate.

Q: When will I get my certificate?

A: The evaluation will be available on the last day of the conference, October 8th. You can go online then to complete the evaluation and receive a certificate IMMEDIATELY after completing the evaluation.

Q: How will I receive my certificate?

A: Your certificate will be available to download/print after completing the online evaluation. A copy of your certificate will also be emailed to the email address you provide online. See instruction sheet for details.

Q: What about CPE/CEU credits or CMO credits?

A: The CPNP (Council for Pediatric Nutrition Professionals) Program will include CPE credits and participants will need to complete an evaluation form online to receive CPE credits.


Q: Is breakfast included?

A: Breakfast symposiums and Meet the Professor sessions include breakfast. However, breakfast is not provided outside of those sessions and is not included in the price of registration.

Q: Is breakfast included at the hotels?

A: Please refer to this page on our website to check if breakfast is included in your hotel reservation.

Q: Is lunch included in the registration fee?

A: Lunch coupons with no cash value will be provided for you to pick up a sandwich lunch every day. Coupons are only valid on the day indicated.

Q: I have food allergies or religious dietary restrictions. How can my meals be accommodated?

A: Please include your allergies in the registration.

Q: Where can I go to eat for dinner?
A: Our mobile app includes a list of recommended restaurants around the venue.


Q: How do I know if I am a FISPGHAN member?

A: The member price is applicable to members of FISPGHAN and its sister societies (APPSPGHAN, ESPGHAN, LASPGHAN, NASPGHAN, CAPGAN).

Q: Which registration fee applies to me?

A: The FISPGHAN member price is applicable to members of FISPGHAN and its sister societies. The Non Member price is applicable to practicing doctors who are not members of the aforementioned societies. The Fellow price is applicable to registrants currently doing they’re fellowship. The Resident price applies to students currently doing their residency as well as registrants who have finished they residency and have applied for a fellowship. The student price applies to post-graduate students and requires proof of student status. The Dietician price is for dieticians, the Nurse price is for nurses and the Allied Healthcare Professional price is for anyone who falls under no other categories.

Q: Who is eligible for the Teaching and Tomorrow program?

A: Pediatric Residents with an interest in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition. It is expected that those selected will be the equivalent of a PL-2 resident at the time of the meeting or PL-3 residents considering applying for fellowship to begin in July 2018 (PL-2 & PL-3 residents based on Canada, Mexico or USA only).

Q: Is it possible to register on-site?

A: Yes, on-site registration will be available at the registration desk.

Q: What is the price of registration?

A: The registration fees can be found here. Please make sure to verify the date to identify the correct price.

Q: Can someone who is accompanying me have access to the conference without a badge?

A: Accompanying Person badges are available at the cost of 115$. These include a ticket for the Welcome Reception, the Congress Gala Dinner and the venue. However, it does not include a congress bag, coffee breaks, lunch coupons and certificate of attendance.

Q: What is included in the registration fee?

A: Included in the registration fee is: Admission to the Opening Ceremony, Unlimited Access to all Scientific Sessions, Access to the Exhibitions, One (1) Congress Bag, Coffee Breaks, Lunch Coupon for Thursay, Friday and Saturday, Free Wifi and a Certificate of Attendance.



Q: What are the accepted methods of payment?

A: The accepted methods of payment are Visa, Mastercard, Cheque and Wire Transfer. Please find all additional information for the last two methods of payments in this file.

Q: Where is there a difference between the registration prices listed on the website and the price paid?

A: As stated on the web page that includes registration prices, the listed prices are subject to applicable goods and services sales taxes.

Q: Can I pay my outstanding fees on-site?

Q: Can I have a detailed receipt of the fees paid for the conference?

A: Confirmation letters are sent out to all registrants who have paid their registration fees. These letters are sent out automatically twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays. They are the most detailed receipts we provide.



Q: Do I need a Visa or an eTa:

A: Please visit this page for all the information on Visas and eTAs. If you are unsure, please visit the Canadian Border Service Agency and contact them directly for any additional information.

Q: Can I get an invitation letter without a passport?

A: No, we do not issue invitation letters to attendees who do not have a valid passport, and will not provide invitation letters for passport applications.

Q: Can I get an invitation letter for my spouse who is accompanying me?

A: We only provide invitation letters to registered attendees of the congress who have paid all their registration fees.

Q: I have not received my invitation letter. Is this normal?

A: Invitation letters are sent out automatically on Mondays and Thursdays. If any information is missing from the Invitation Letter, we cannot send it out to you and will send you an email to remind you that information is missing.
